We wrote this book to demonstrate the importance of creating and developing flexible and innovative leadership strategies in today’s fast-paced business world. We use the analogy of “whack-a-mole” to point out that no matter how many times you whack a problem, another problem pops up.
Problems keep popping up, and we find ourselves taking piecemeal approaches to solve them. We wanted to show how leaders could resolve problems from a holistic, organizational systems perspective. Our hope was that we could impart our experience and knowledge to help leaders (and prospective leaders) reflect on themselves and their leadership practices.
